The article presents the results of a qualitative research on the validation of professional com-petences for adult access to university. The research was developed in Spain, through the methodology of the case studies at the Auto-nomous University of Barcelona and the Uni-versity of Valladolid. Spain already has a regu-latory framework, standards and measures to support access of adults to university, in a li-felong learning perspective. The case studies show the resources and constraints in the Spa-nish system of validation of professional com-petences. This makes the Spanish case of scientific and political interest, to contribute to the transfer of significant practices in the Italian context, both in terms of regulation and in terms of organization and procedures, in parti-cular with reference to the Italian academic world.Downloads
