Abstract









The paper presents the results of a research- training program, realized with a sample of schools, which led to the construction and application of a methodological model for the certification of achievements called VA.R.C.CO. Considering the theoretical perspective of theauthentic assessment, it is investigated to what extent the dialogue between educational research and school practice can improve teaching, paying particular attention to how individual and citizenship competences can be developed and certified in the first cycle of schooling.
