Abstract

This paper introduces a qualitative research dedicated to the implementation of interdisciplinary Service Learning in Higher Education for preventing wildfire in four European territories. The aim of the study was to highlight the features of the Service Learning delivered by the European project "Facing Fire", in order to generate positive effects on the employability of students and local communities. From the results of the research some indications emerge towards a definition of a Service Learning model, that trains professionals capable of recognizing the social value of their future job and acting in a transformative way for the sustainability development of the intervention contexts.
