Abstract

In the face of an institutional, national and international effort, aimed at lifelong guidance, to support young people in their initial, ongoing and in abandoning choices of University studies (European Council, 319/02, 2008 ; Ministerial Decree 1047/2017; Ministerial Decree 774/2019), concern data relating to dropouts (ANVUR, 2018) as well as the increasing number of moving from one course to another study even if those are different for professional outlets, especially for educational professions. This paper wants to study the profile of the professional educator in the light of the regulatory changes introduced (that is, DDL 2443/2017 and Ministerial Decree 378/18), focusing on the added value of initial and ongoing guidance practices to favor enrollment, transfer and / or dropout to University students’. This work lays the foundations for following research aimed at the monitoring of the careers of students of the L19 and of the LM85bis, among members of an education and training department, of a well-known university in southern Italy.
