The paper presents the results of an exploratory study carried out in 2017-2018 at the University of Naples “Federico II”, by the Section for the Promotion of Employability (Spo) of the Center for the Active and Participated Inclusion of the Students (Sinapsi). The study reports the results of a screening of the levels of employability perceived by university students attending degree courses in Economics, Speech therapy, Biology and Engineering, through the Avo Giovani assessment questionnaire developed and validated by the National Institute for the Analysis of Public Policies, INAPP (Grimaldi et al., 2015). The main aim of the exploratory study is to identify the profile of the students in order to sustain them with dedicated orientation activities within the university experience for the students in order to promote a sustainable employability for most of them (Grimaldi, Porcelli & Rossi, 2014). From a preventive point of view, the implementation and enhancement of competences and skills, is important to promote students’ employability during their study paths, in order to allow them to run actively and consciously the prefiguration and development of their professional career (Fugate, KinicKi & Ashforth, 2004) and, therefore the passage from university to labour market.
