Main Article Content
Abstract
The paper presents the current development of the university career dedicated to the prison population, starting from the Italian experiences of Poli universitari penitenziari (university centers in prison). At first is presented an overview of the situation of education and lifelong learning in prisons, where the previous competences of the restricted people are mostly unknown. Subsequently is presented the theoretical and juridical assumptions of this educational proposal, oriented to the transmission of new competences, together with the human, social and cultural promotion.
