Abstract
The Sars-Cov2 pandemic forced us to experiment with a new teaching method, totally remote, which showed some strong limits, but also good potential. It allowed the school not to stop, but it failed, at least in this first form, to keep everyone inside. In fact, between 20% and 25% of the students did not regularly take part in the activities (Source MIUR). It is necessary that, at the dawn of its restart, the school finds a new educational mission. One possible way is the recovery and implementation, especially for children, of reading, not only as an educational tool but as a generator of emotions that encourage the acquisition of skills and useful tools for the construction of identity and the strengthening of self-esteem. Privileging the literal sense of great classics, including the Divina Commedia, reading aloud is a tool of cognitive and emotional empowerment, and subsequently a formative stimulus, an object of reflection, an opportunity for deepening. Thus, the school space is transformed into a space for planning and personal growth. Through this shared pleasure, the conditions are created for the birth of passionate readers who, with the help of Dante's text, an excellent motivation of children's curiosity, encourage an educational process aimed at developing in the student the ability to position themselves within their own growth and training path.
