Abstract

This contribution examines the role of care within cultural professions, highlighting the transformation of the museum educator into an active mediator between heritage and community. In light of recent regulatory developments, the educator is no longer merely a transmitter of knowledge but fosters a relationship of responsibility and cultural continuity. The myth of Cronos offers a symbolic lens to reflect on care as a conscious process entrusted to human agency. The analysis traces the evolution of the concept of care and shows how the museum educator becomes a central figure in enhancing cultural heritage and nurturing a shared cultural bond.
