Abstract

The paper gives an account of a case study related to the SAI (System  Recepetion Integration) in Latina, with particular regard to the complex procedure for the recognition of the qualifications of the received beneficiaries. Specifically, reference is made to Ukrainian and Afghan refugees who were forced to abandon an educational or professional pathway already begun in their own country. The multidisciplinary team of the second reception takes charge of reshaping the interventions and socioeconomic inclusion projects, so that the new users can enhance previous training or work experiences, reconsider the skills already acquired and develop new ones, in line with the new social, economic and cultural context. The stories analyzed refer back to paths of higher education in countries of origin that do not find correspondence in Italy and allow for a profound analysis of the dynamics that challenge pedagogically-valued professionalism.
