The “Five skills for employability” workshop. An explorative study for graduate career guidance at Federico II University of Naples.

Abstract
This paper describes the results of an explorative study carried out as part of the Employability Promotion workshop activities. The team involved focused on the improvement of the soft skills that are most sought after in today’s job market: effective communication, teamwork, customer service orientation, problem solving, and likeability. Thanks to the Digital CV device, graduates improved the following skills: planning, creative thinking, communication, and self-awareness. The workshop activities confirmed the necessity of lifelong guidance. The way forward involves focusing on individuals and on the key-points of their existential and professional paths. The activities also confirmed the fundamental importance both of soft skills for all types of workers andawareness on one’s own transversal skills to improve work performance.
