Low skilled adults, between career coaching, education, and social inclusion. Food for thought from Reddito di Cittadinanza experience
Main Article Content
Abstract
The paper aims to stimulate, starting from a summary picture of the composite category of Italian low-skilled adults and, more generally, socio-culturally and economically fragile subjects, reflection on the topic of their (re-)placement at work and/or or education, with particular attention to the experience of Reddito di Cittadinanza (RdC). The focus on RdC is part of a broader framework in which the salient features and vulnerabilities of low-skilled adults are highlighted, a category to which, in most cases, the beneficiaries of RdC belong. This is in order to stimulate reflection on the role, primarily, of transversal skills, in the promotion of social inclusion, personal evolution and, in connection, activation in the world of work and/or education of disadvantaged subjects.
Keywords: Low skilled adults, social inclusion, career coaching, soft skills, Reddito di Cittadinanza (RdC)
