The Work-Based Learning (WBL) approach in the context of lifelong learning policies: capacity building skills in the Third sector

Abstract
The research project on which this contribution focuses intends to explore the increasingly current theme of work-based learning in light of the increasingly required need to make the skills acquired in non-formal and informal contexts recognizable and visible. In this perspective, a formative interpretation of the concept of lifelong learning arises, centered on the construct of strategic competence for lifelong learning, in function of the implementation of reflective and proactive behaviors, that is strategic with respect to the same thinkability of the future in the knowledge society. On this line, the research project intends to analyze and understand through empirical surveying processes, the skills of universal civil service operators in the dual key of active citizenship and employability.
