Abstract
This article examines some of the keywords and pairs of opposites from which the political cultures and the identities of the 20th c. arose. Today, political culture seems far from consi-dering that loneliness, inequalities, unrecogni-sed rights are social and existential issues, which are intrinsically part of it and upon which we can take action, if we change the way we conceive political action: it is time to think criti-cally and to start imagining and planning a new society, surpassing the private and immediate dimension, projecting our ideas and ideals into the future.
