The mutual learning model in politics and training proposals for adults in Europe.
Main Article Content
Abstract
Implementing adult competences is a priority for the European Commission. The Recommendation for upskilling pathways addresses adult learning needs and involves several stakeholders from the institutional and private sectors, presenting and proposing a framework grounded in best practices and political actions through the mutual learning workshops. The mutual learning model characterizes the training the trainers and proposes to investigate models and practices following a perspective able to reorganize new knowledge. The present paper introduces and investigates the European project of monitoring the Recommendation, trying to read this experience with the broader literature of knowledge building and imagining educational trajectories for adult upskilling, sensible to the value of knowledge and its capacity to create meaningful connections.
