Pedagogical Design and Training of Human Resources. Shaping educational professions.

Abstract

The contemporary society is increasingly characterized by fragmentation and inhomogeneity. It urgently requires to point out new educational and training frames in order to promote and support projects and actions in the light of a precise anthropological vision. This challenge has been addressed by the Specialist Course in Pedagogical Design and Training of Human Resources, which has been activated since fifteen years at the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart of Brescia. This paper proposes a reflection on the reasons for agreement that have been gathered during the years through this university course from students and from the territory, and suggests to take into consideration new professional contexts, as well as to highlight the important implications that the theme of the competences assumes with respect to the identity of educators and pedagogists.
