Abstract

The emergence of new educational and training needs, in multicultural social contexts, invites pedagogical research to reflect on 0-6 educational contexts as incubators for the development of individual potential and expression of everyone’s rights. Rethinking educational work to inhabit intercultural complexity calls for promoting inclusive educational practices, aimed at enhancing diversity as an asset for significant human relationships. The meeting and recognition of otherness reveal a gaze that extends into the dimension of fraternity in which to experiment and support education in difference as an opportunity to promote human development, in the perspective of planetary citizenship. The commitment to learning to live in a fraternal and supportive way represents the condition for designing, with responsibility regarding life on earth, peaceful and democratic coexistence, the educational project of an equitable, inclusive and sustainable society.
