Abstract

Social inclusion of young people of foreign ori-gin is one of the new challenges that Italian society must accept and resolve to create an active citizenship that can embrace and invol-ve all citizens, beyond the membership "ethnic." Human capital, social capital and the environment are the main factors that determi-ne the social pathways that allow the children of immigrants to reach a more prestigious posi-tion in society than their parents.
